The third edition of the Nespresso Sustainability Advisory Board (NSAB) took place on July 2nd in London, in the presence of PUR Projet’s founder Tristan Lecomte, who has been a board member since 2013.
The NSAB brings together experts and thought leaders in the area of sustainability, who share experiences and provide insight and recommendations. It is a privileged moment to build on partnerships and draft the Nespresso long-term Sustainability strategy.
This 2015 edition has been an opportunity to review the achievements since the announcement of The Positive Cup program last year. The roadmap targets carbon neutrality through Insetting in 2020. Important steps in the Agroforestry approach have already been taken, which will strengthen the climate resilience of farmers and the value chain.
Aside from the carbon footprint target, several core measures of Nespresso’s Sustainability strategy have been put forward : among them, the actions taken to address the challenges of capsule recycling and AAA Sustainable Quality program.
